The Bamboo Flooring Palette

One of the most eye catching parts of any house is its flooring, which is the reason why many people cover ordinary flooring with exotic carpets. But, with newer types of flooring being developed, carpets may be becoming a thing of the past. One of the most attractive types of flooring is bamboo flooring. Bamboo flooring is aesthetically pleasing and comes in a variety of colors and textures i.e. with a wide palette to choose from.

Naturally, the bamboo flooring palette consists of 2 basic colors – blonde or golden and dark amber or coffee color. The textures vary depending upon the way in which the bamboo flooring is made. It may have parallel lines, intersecting lines, alternate dark and light hues which may be uniform or may appear to be random (but they are actually very uniform if observed minutely). But, with the growing demand, the bamboo floor palette has become very versatile. It consists of a variety of colors these days. The colors on the bamboo floor palette may vary from gold, orange leather, light brown to very dark chocolate. These colors are obtained by pressure steaming or carbonization.

The wide variety in the bamboo floor palette is one of the causes of the popularization of bamboo flooring. Each seller has his own bamboo flooring palette to select colors and textures and is a major differentiating factor between various sellers. The sellers often experiment with the colors and their combination with textures which help them add more variety to their bamboo flooring palette and allow them to offer a unique product. Online stores find it extremely simple to add images showing the entire bamboo flooring palette to the user to select from. This is one difficulty faced by ordinary stores because when a customer visits a physical store, he/she usually tends to demand a physical sample of the item in the seller’s bamboo flooring palette. Hence, such stores either have to physically store the various items on the palette or present limited variety on the bamboo flooring palette.

Bamboo flooring has been labeled as ‘green flooring’ because it is extremely environment friendly and is cheap as well as very durable. Bamboo is actually a grass that grows very rapidly and can be used in place of wood, plastic and sometimes steel. When it was introduced as a flooring raw material, it was available only in the natural blonde color and the carbonized amber color. This limited variety hampered sales initially. Soon, newer textures began to appear in the 2 colors, lending a hand to the sales pitch. The addition of various colors gave it the real boost it required. Now-a-days, the bamboo flooring palettes are so wide that sellers have to come up with a catalogue showing the large list of options thus, making bamboo flooring all the more appealing.
